Warmer weather is here, and that means lovely picnics and walks by the beach and outdoor concerts. Our favorite way to stay hydrated in style? Cold-brewed oolong tea. Cold brewing is an excellent preparation method for warmer weather, since it doesn’t require any heat.
Here’s how you do it:
- Take one of Tea Ave’s prepared tea bags (3g) or prepare your own and place it in a cold brew bottle such as the Chillaxer filled with 500ml of filtered or spring water.
- Put the bottle in the fridge for up to 8 hours (exact timing depends on personal preference, but we find 6 to 8 hours works best; we don’t recommend brewing for more than 8 hours).
- Remove tea bag.
- Enjoy your yummy tea!
Cold brewing allows teas to retain a high percent of the catechins that many oolong drinkers seek for their health benefits. Which means it’s good for you in addition to being convenient and delicious.
