You know when you love something so much that you want it all the time? That’s how we feel about oolong tea. From cold-brewed to tea bags to loose leaf oolong, we’re practically addicted to its earthy flavors and aromas. In fact, we like it so much we drink it every day.
Recently, we had a lightbulb moment: What if there were another way to incorporate more oolong deliciousness into our day? What if oolong could be more than a drink? (Mind-blowing stuff, we know.)
So we got a little epicurious and sought out some of the best oolong recipes out there. We’ve collected them here for you. Bon appetit!
Oolong Donuts with Milk Tea Glaze. Donuts + oolong: What’s not to love? Oolong brewed in milk helps create a moist donut with a spicy, sweet glaze. Very autumnal; very delicious.
Oolong Fried Rice. Infuse your dinner with antioxidants and an unctuous oolong flavor. Bonus: You can use tea bags that have already been steeped.
Oolong-Marinated Sea Bass. Ginger, brown sugar and oolong tea (we suggest our Ginger Lily Oolong) come together for a flavorful marinade and a healthy dinner. We think this marinade would also be good on other white fish, shrimp, or chicken.
Longan-Oolong Tea Cakes. Well, aren’t you fancy? Make these pretty little cakes to serve the next time you have guests for tea. Naturally, they go perfectly with – you guessed it – oolong tea.
Oolong Tea Chili. Oolong simmers with ground beef, beans, peppers, and other traditional chili ingredients in this hearty fall dish.
Oolong Turkey Breast. Marinated in tea and aromatic spices, this would make an excellent addition to your Thanksgiving Day spread.
Oolong Tea Eggs. If you’ve never had tea eggs, you’re in for a treat. A healthy, tasty, and versatile treat, and yummy served warm or cold.
