On July 1, 1867, a nation was born when the Constitution Act joined three provinces (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and the Canada province) into one country. Canada’s independence is now celebrated across the country in Canada Day celebrations.
This week at Tea Ave we’re celebrating Canada Day, which became officially so named in 1982 after Canadians had been celebrating their independence from Britain for over 100 years. Looking for a list places to celebrate with your fellow Canadians? This government website has a comprehensive list of festivals and events celebrating Canada across … well, Canada.
We’re also kicking back and sippin’ on some cold-brewed oolong , perfect for refreshing yourself in warmer temps. Did you know that with the Chillaxer you can cold-brew all of our oolong teas directly in the bottle? That’s right: Just place a tea bag into filtered or spring water and let it brew for up to 8 hours. All of our teas are delicious cold-brewed, but right now we’re especially crushin’ on LiShan Oolong and Magnolia Oolong.
